G-Media MiniMonsta is one of the best soft synths out there for my money. It's very versatile and fun to use, and sounds great too

Again, I love using Live as a sketchpad, but I still think Logic is another league with regard to quality of sound, plug-ins and flexibility. And is just as quick and easy to use if you spend some time setting up an efficienr workflow

There is a book at the Juicemaster.com called Stop Drinking 4 Life Easily which may be worth getting. It will show you that giving up drinking needn't be difficult but enjoyable and that you will be far happier without it.
