You could trigger a small midi clip that sends several midi notes through a loopback and turn the effects on/off simultaneously?

Doh, your post gave me a hard time to think about what exactly you're meaning.

But after some brainstorming about routing I got it:
I have now defined a virtual Midi ...

I'm looking for sth similar so I give this a bump.

I'm currently working on a live setup with several vsti's and fx.
I want them to turn on/off and the containing track armed in one step also with just a key.

in general Live wont record assigned midi controllers into clips.

as weird as that sounds - it is a long running gripe of many users.
IE : Me

You can record un-assigned midi controllers into a session clip,
you can also record un-assigned (in Live) controllers that are assigned to a VSTi control ...

As soon as an input is in mackie control mode, the session view can't record its controllers,

Hmm... I thought this is why Midi yoke drops in for virtual loopback.

Yeah, the knobs in Mackie mode are context specific but if I would have recorded a filter cut off automation of a vst and assign ...

Well afaik you can't assign the specific mackie controls to vsts as well.. But the bcr-mackie thing has some available knobs..

Uhh...sorry dont quite get that...

I mean you CAN control vsts via the bcr-mackie emu knobs (via the plugin button).
All I wanna do is recording the movements of those ...

Hi, maybe I expressed myself a bit unclear.

I'd like to record the knob tweaking of the BCR2000 (running as Mackie remote emu) eg for a vst fx directly in a session clip which I than can loop and stuff - something similar is mentioned here in some threads but I think they referred to assigned ...

BCR2000 as Mackie emu - recording knobs in session view

Is it possible with the BCR2000 running as Mackie emu to record knob movements (eg tweaking plugin parameters) in session view?

Been looking through the several threads here and tried different combinations with Midi Yoke but the results (if any) only produced midi-feedback.

yeah forgot about midi volume, at least a nice workaround.

backdraw may be that the two vsti's still processing sound at the same time and consuming (more) cpu...

arming tracks together with scenes

I want to do the folloing for live playing:

I have different vsti's on track 1 and 2 and several scenes.
when I launch scene 1 (via midi remote) I want automatically track 1 armed and when I change to scene 2 I want track 2 armed so I can play different sounds in relation to the scenes playing.

Is ...

Having the Mackie BCR emu running here for two days now here's what Ive come up with so far:

You probably have the map from

already.

Very cryptic yeah, but still reading it over and over again things start to get clearer a little and -as ...

...it's a Mackie control emulation preset that you can dump into your BCR. Maybe I got confused, apologies if so.

The site with the Mackie control emulation seems to be down

Somebody has it and can mail it to me ...

Lives internal audio processing

Hi!

I wonder if Live is processing its internal audio signal always in 32bit Floating Point like other applications or differently.

If 32bit FP this would also mean practically "unlimited" headroom of the audio channels - no clipping!? (of course not for the master out!).
And if so, why isnt there ...
