I'd like to change the "mixer" factory preset on my Novation Launch Control so that releasing a pad (as opposed to pressing the pad) toggles the track on and off. For me, it's a lot more fun and accurate to release buttons to kill audio channels than to press them. Here are the options I see

Ableton's ability to warp audio clips to a particular bpm and time signature is one of its most powerful features. Are there any other DAW's that use a similar warping system? I'm not aware of any. Does Ableton have patents/IP that prevent others from shipping products with similar warping engines?

Anyone have an update on this? I'd love to be able to load a file in a slot via M4L or some other automated means.

Live's file browser leaves a lot to be desired for my dj uses. I need to sort tracks and samples by bpm, key, genre and tags, but all Live gives me is filename search. I can (and do) use an external program (Mixed In Key) to sort through tracks and samples, but I hate having to drag the clips into ...

Count me as extremely interested in this feature. It's essential for the visual coordination I hope to do with Max for Live.
