yeah i hear what your saying there, but maybe very light use of this technique gives your track room to breath etc,

on youtube they show you it with a pad and a rhodes and it does sound quite smooth, its not an obvious effect, but it just blends with the music, rather than sitting on top of the ...

ok so what about side chain effect on your drums ?
ive never done this does it really impack on your track ?

also would you use this technique on musical elements of your track,

as i understand it, its simply a ducking style tech ?

ok, here are the chords i have, just need to know scale for em
or even what key they are in, so i can use a scale plug in

F, C G# A#
G#, F, D#, C, C
G, F, A#, D#

Then 2nd section is
F,D,A,G, F,C,A,A#, C#,G#, C,F
C#,G#, C, F, F, D, A#, G, D#

well maybe if i upload the loop i have, as ive been told the solo is out,
but i cant hear it myself

so i have a basic chord progression, how can i find out what scale applys to this for solo sections, so i stay in key ?


is there a site i can just enter in the chords and get the scale ?

arhh thats interesting as i never use samples of brass as they need to be in key with the rest of the music, so you actually use melodyne to shift them to the correct pitch and recreate swells etc

Piano is a big problem as i dont need classical it needs to be warm and thick, ive used hypersonic 2 ...

im just not sure about Lounge lizard, some of the preset sound a little poor i thought, isnt scarbee much better ? as its sample based ?

im after some great sounding keyboard / piano sounds, doesnt have to be 40 gig of high end classical pianos, but just quality pianos for deep/soulful house

rhodes im pretty covered atm

and then brass, i really cant find any good brass sounds ?? i want swells falls etc
