Nope, I haven't. It's happened with a lot of VST's, which makes the problem more maddening because it's hard to pin down the exact problem. One of these days, I'll call ableton support and see if they can help me, unless someone here can answer it.

But I still have to click to change which track is being selected for recording, no? Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but it seems like your method is only going to cause more clutter by having twice the tracks than I would normally.

Well, they were legit enough to not ship my software until I sent them information that confirmed I was a student (I purchased the EDU version), which is something they didn't reallyhave to do. Since the box was sealed, I don't feel like there was any tampering going on.
