I am a geologist for an environmental consulting company.
Do you often get the question "what does a geologist do?"
I do get asked very often what I do. It doesn't help that I went into a field that most people wouldn't necessarily associate geologists with (soil and groundwater instead of ...

Re: Partner Instruments
Are there going to be any deals if you have already purchased products from the Partners? I own several of the Soniccouture packs (Konkrete Drums 1&2 and the Synthi Aks), but I would love to have them better integrated into live if possible without paying for the packs again.

Re: Why always 120 BPM?
The global time is set for 120 BPM. The first midi/audio clip I place into my set will adjust the global time to the clips BPM. I believe it is just a template to start every set at 120 BPM.

Logic Studio for Komplete?
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in trading their copy of Komplete 5 for Apple Logic Studio? With the deal going on with Komplete, it makes it a pretty fair deal. Just let me know.

Re: Waldorf Micro Q
Thanks for the replys. I'll have to check into the editor for it and it looks like I will be going through with the deal. From some of the samples and presets I've heard from it I think it will go nicely with the type of music I make. I've heard great things about the way it sounds, so I'm pretty ...

Waldorf Micro Q
I know someone who is selling this board and I can pick it up for around $300 USD, is this a great deal? I've seen the rack versions going for $350-$500 on ebay, so it seems like a good grab. Any thoughts? I looked at vintagesynth.com and they say the keyboard version for the micro Q is estimated at ...

Re: Roland System 700m....
Funny to hear this being brought up today. I was fishing through craigslist in Detroit and this synth came up. The photos seem to be exactly the same as the ones from the Denver post. Same exact everything. Pretty sweet looking synth though.

Re: audio interfaces
I have a Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1. I really like it. I mostly use it for my home studio, but I have used it a few times for djing at small events. Never really had a problem with it. It would help us out if we knew what kind of specs you need for it (e.i. how many ins and outs you plan on ...

Re: iSyn for iPhone and iPod Touch
yeah, midi output would be much more helpful, but it seems like it could still be fun if you didn't have anything else.

iSyn for iPhone and iPod Touch
Just saw this at audiomidi.com. A new app for the iPhone/iPod touch from Audiomidi.com and Virsyn. It seems like a pretty sweet program while out away from the studio.

Alesis ControlPad
I was looking at getting the Alesis ControlPad. Is anyone using one of these with Native Instruments Battery 3? I was hoping to be able to use it in the way, but wasn't sure what the latency would be like? I'm on a MacBook Pro and it uses USB to connect to the computer.
Thanks guys.
