Was wondering if you good people could give me any suggestions or pointers regarding Aggregate Audio, and whether there's anyone out there with a similar setup to myself who's actually got it working for them, or indeed if there are alternatives that do work.

Yep, more often than not, crashes that happen using 8.1 render the project unloadable if you try to recover the lost work, with a message that effectively says 'Ableton has encountered a serious error and will now shut down'. I can usually reopne the project file from the last saved version, but not ...

hmmm - yeah it worked for me the first time I did it but every crash leaves corrupted files for me.

Personally I think what would be really helpful from software developers is some kind of recognition and explanation to their customers when a major issue like this arises, and perhaps withdrawing the Mac update (at least) from their site whilst they convert it into a usable update would be a good ...

The latest Beta version? First crash after 239 secs. Second crash after 421 secs. Third crash after 207 secs. Repeat to fade.

Funny how the same 'timelag' seems to be affecting tech support's response times too. I wonder if the whole company has fallen through the fabric of time somewhere along the line?

Yep same here - have 8Gb RAM in a MacPro & often the music is lagging more than a beat behind what the scrolling line is telling me.

At least with 8.0.9 the crashes weren't quite so bad (although I did have a couple that were completely unrecoverable). I can't believe I've become a connoisseur of my own 'crashes'. That's how ropey Ableton's been for me over the past few months

A 'bugfix' is the wrong phrase I'm afraid. They need to get pest control in, put Live 8 _down_ & out of it's misery and get an L9 working properly like previous versions have done, or are we all so obsessed with the latest versions that we've completely lost sight of the fact that we use programs ...
