hi...just a note on the subject. i am doing alright with 5.0. i was going to download the updates but think i'll wait and keep reading this board! i do use a lot of plug ins and effects, and sometimes have to freeze tracks but so far things are okay.

any tips on how to flatten a record? i went out of town and 2 records arrived and sat on my porch for a few days....they are messed up but sound good. any ideas? i've heard some in the past....thanx

thanks all...i just recorded a nice mix...made sure record quantize was off..turned warping off on the clip...used the classic master limiter and normalize...and the levels are okay and it sounds okay!

should i record my records into live as big wav files? i want to get them digital for longevity as well as eventually trying to use live for djing. i tried to download the movie about warping a whole song and get nothing.

well...er...i just took it apart and reconnected all and its working...go figure. sure is fun using the transpose to get a harmony part! think chickin pickin on a house beat with funk bassline.

another bedroom beat freak

hi...after reading all the good stuff on recording guitar, i plugged in my strat to put a few licks on a track. in the past i plugged right into my mbox, muted the track, and layed something down...no problems.

today when ableton plays it back, or records it, it is distorted and fuzzy, sans effects ...

i just "discovered" this today myself! thought i was gonna have to make a preset for each thing with my controllers software. i share in the joy!!!

okay...my lazy self took the time to searcc more and found the answer, so the least i can do is let you know......until next time...trying to create that perfect house track!
