go to Live's preferences, then Misc tab, then deactivate the Solo button for the Exclusive setting. You can also do this for record.

Now will no longer need to hold down Apple (Cmnd) to solo or record multiple tracks.

hope this helps!

I still would prefer to see a Solo-Exclusion with the Ctr ...

Live4 Solo bug

manual page 170 / 14.5 soloing and cueing:

Soloing a clip track leaves the return tracks unaffected (solo in place). Soloing a return track affects all other track.

This is not the case. When I solo a clip track the return tracks get muted. This is very annoying!!
Is anybody aware of that?
What ...

no offence but I really don't know what 'loop offset' markers have to do with my problem.

And no I can't use Acid, becauseI need Rewire to slave it to Neundo2.

anyway....

have a nice Sunday

this has nothing to to with what I mean.

Imagine that the kick on bar/grid marker 1.2.3 comes a bit early. And I want to keep the groove like that.
The moment I make a warp marker at 1.2.3 and move it 'on' the kick it's not the same groove anymore.
If I don't move it, the transient gets lost when ...

Abelton 4 Demo misleading

When I first heard the inlcuded Demo song from Live 4 I thought that the stretch algorithm works quite well, only to see that Ableton did something very clever!

Most of the loops have been recorded at the same tempo the demo song is playing. Well, no suprise the stretching sounds perfect.
You ...

read ACID loop markers (transients)

I have 250GB of ACID loops from Sony. Unfortunately most of them don't play the right way in Live.

Why can't you make Live compatible with ACID loops?

Since Sonar could pull it off it must be possible for Ableton.

Which means transients can be before and after the grid/warp markers.

At the ...

Unfortunately it does not. I'm amazed that nobody seems to complain about this major setback on this forum!

I have 250GB of ACID loops that don't get played right with Live.

Live always quantizes everything straight on 16th notes etc.
But there are many loops that have a nice groove, like some ...

The File browser bug dissapeared on my system with this version.
What a relief!!
Ableton you really can't have such a mess again, as it was with the whole V2 affair.
I think the public beta test for V3 is the way to go.
You have to be careful no to introduce new bugs after finishing the final beta ...

like Stid said in another post - we definitely need an OS X optimized version - if we get it with 3 and it works, then I'm willing to pay an upgrade fee ...

I'm just wondering what we PC users get out of this? Paying for bugfixes? Paying for Mac optimisation? Well,...

The only problem I have with that is, I've paid for a V2 upgrade which never worked properly. I use it as rewire-slave with Nuendo2.
2.0 did not work as Re-Wire slave and 2.1 has the file-browser bug.

This time Ableton asks the second time to pay for an upgrade, although I could never work with the ...
