It's all down to personal preference and style. There is no right or wrong way to do anything and experimentation is the name of the game. this is pretty much a chicken and egg situation in my mind. Because music software doesn't run in Linux musicians don't run it, therefore software developers don't develop for it, therefore musicians don't run it....

I just use an Ipod plugged through one of the inputs on my soundcard to cover the gaps with some nice ambient drones and loops. Just need to set up an internal routing in the soundcard to send the Ipod input straight to your main outputs.

don't suppose you could let me know how you fixed this cause I appear to have the same problem.

yeah I would if I trusted the postal department in my office but they are completly useless so I don't like to risk it.

yeah I'd noticed that. But I'm not buying from a dealer so I don't need to be able to see the box in a showcase in the shop.

It's the interaction that is important here. I've seen some DJ's who are really into what they do, you can feel that energy as a clubber on the dancefloor. Much like a good band some DJ's actually perform, leap around behind their decks or whatever.

The closer to the original BPM you set it the less you will need the warp markers. So if your less accurate I guess it'll just take a little more tweaking.

Yeah I've had similar problems when trying to remix some older tracks in Ableton. Have you tried editing out any silent parts on tracks? I presume that all 26 tracks aren't playing constantly. You may be able to improve the quality by removing silent sections from each part.
