Re: empty tracks playing sounds (zombie clips?)

I have had this happen a couple of times in Live 10 as well but I have been unable to reproduce the bug. I've been using Live for over a decade and checked all the usual suspects (playing from arrange / checked routings etc) but couldn't find where the sound was coming from. I was thoroughly confuse...

Bouncing sidechained channels is going to save so much hassle. Excellent update :)

Re: First Time User - What laptop to buy?

I'm still using a Macbook Pro mid-2012 (i7, 2.6ghz quad core) and it will take absolutely anything I throw at it music-wise - multiple instances of Diva, recording on loads of channels, running High Sierra, loads of apps at the same time etc. You can pick one up 2nd hand nowadays for about £600. The...

Re: Live 10 upgrade path

I've been enjoying the beta but I can't justify dropping £200+ on buying suite again when I already own it. If it was around £100 I would have already pre-ordered my upgrade but £200 for a slightly different version of a product I already own is a non-trivial amount to be spending.

Re: What is the cheapest MacBook for Live 9?

I can vouch for a Macbook Pro mid 2012 handling Live and multiple instances of UHe Dive etc easily. That's not being specific. A 13" with a duocore CPU and a 15" with a quadcore are two totally different machines from a performance perspective. I think the OP has to realize that one cannot overgene...

Blue Hand no longer appearing.

I've recently re-introduced a Launchpad Mk1 & NanoKontrol to my Live Suite 9.7 setup and for some reason the 'Blue Hand' no longer automatically appears. I'm sure I've seen this in the past but I cant remember what the fix was. Further info: The Launchpad is set as a control surface using the standa...

Re: How many VST's can you guys run with an i7 16 GB Macbook Pro

trying to load one single instance of it will completely bring things to a standstill for about a minute until it decides to load. The only way I can think of until Ableton optimizes loading is a faster SSD, faster RAM and faster CPU. There's still no guarantee any load speed difference will be wor...

Re: How many VST's can you guys run with an i7 16 GB Macbook Pro

Hi I'm just wondering what everyone on here who owns a 16 gb ram, i7 macbrook pro's experience is with how many plugins they can run at once. I have a track with about 15-20 instances of sylenth, fm8, reaktor, or kontakt and ~15 audio tracks and its starting to glitch out sometimes as high as 90% C...

estibi wrote:Is it possible to export slices from Simpler to audio files in one step?
I can crop every single slice, but it's very time consuming :|
Route the Simpler channels output into an audio channel, press record, then press whichever slices you want to record to audio

Re: new Simpler is AMAZING!!!!

Some people are never happy eh? Now that simpler can use a fixed warp grid IMO it shouldn't be too tricky for the Abes to implement Octatrack-style recording in to a fixed length buffer and then being able to reorder and mangle it instantly? Thats pretty much the only thing I've missed since ditchin...

Re: Downgrading from Live 9 Suite to Live 9 Standard?

A lot of users probably don't use many things in the Live Suite. It's there if you need it. There are often some nice freebies and they are MFL devices and those can only be used in the Suite. Very true. I was having a look at Bitwig and trying to figure out what I would miss and I just realized th...
