Are you sure he's not just cutting a short loop from one of the tracks he's playing with FinalScratch, not Ableton...since he always seems to use both? I'm pretty sure FinalScratch is capable of doing this (not an FS user myself)... similar to cutting a short loop with the DJM-600 sampler and ...

I've been using this little guy for a UC-33, Oxygen-8, and Griffin PowerMate without any problems so far. Extremely portable and unintrusive, doesn't take up valuable dj-booth real estate. It also comes with a 6-inch extension cord so it doesn't put any stress on your USB port.

Where can you get these ? I saw some at the Messe but 150 Euro a pair seemed steep to me. Remember having some from Manny`s NYC but lost them long time ago.

Here in the U.S., there is a company out of Chicago called Sensaphonics that will set you up with a local audiologist to get them fitted (I ...

Best investment ever.

You can get different interchangeable filters (9 / 15 / 25 dB cut) so you are pretty much covered no matter how big the sound system is, but you can still hear what you are doing perfectly. Once I moved to an apartment ...

Awesome, thanks for the advice so far!

I will definitely drop some paint / nail polish onto the knob indicators while I search for an adequate 'rubbery knob' replacement that fits onto the UC-33's posts.

My 'day job' is with a company that specializes in A/V equipment, my desk is right next to the ...

Replacing UC-33 (or UC-33e) knobs?

I seem to recall a few people talking about how they've replaced all the factory knobs on their UC-33s with different ones. I'd like to do this, replace the plastic-y knobs with something a bit more rubbery and solid (i.e. the oxygen-8 knobs), prefferably something that would also provide a more ...
