Re: How long does saving a set take for you?

@8/vs/9: I don't have 8 on this computer so it would be a pain to go to the old one (which doesn't have the soundcard and all setup) but I could swear that many a project/template was virtually the same time. (if compatible) thats great...but it is def alot longer in Live 9. Obviously the larger th...

Re: How long does saving a set take for you?

Thanks to everyone for the replies. :D @Finn - Its a 10 month old Samsung laptop with an i7. And yes, I am working with a fairly large master set, but I do feel that even with a smaller set it still takes a while. @Hatsis, thank you for the confirmation. It may or may not be five minutes, but it fe...

Re: Drum Rack: Can I change choke-groups for all samples at once

Dont think so. sorry! I've need to do that at times, so I feel your pain. maybe you can open the preset file in a plaintext editor and do a find replace...never tried it with that parameter though. should work in theory.

Re: How long does saving a set take for you?

For me, probably close to 5 minutes. I haven't actually timed it and I am not going to, but it takes a long time. It also hijacks my computer so I cant even do anything else during this time. I would like to see this improved. Yeah, Ive done some quick non scientific tests and my results show that ...

Re: endless clicking/crackling problems with Live 9?

Now here are some things I found out lately: - Clicks occur very often when a looped clip jumps back to the beginnng to be played again. (fade button won't change that, and the clicks are not in the audiofile) This is the complex pro algorithm. It clicks everytime the loop restarts or a one shot st...

Re: L9's midi note buttons

The duplicate loop button is different than duplicate time or L8's duplicate loop. Duplicate time/Loop never worked properly in Live <9 in midi clips. The loop brace would not expand(double) to match the newly created time. It does w the duplicate loop button in L9 and the duplicate loop command was...

Re: double or multiply an LFO signal?

your looking for a multiplexer. A Multiplier is a different thing. There should be a multiplexer in the main MFL livepacks. I think it's called 'Multimapper' or somthing like that.

Re: endless clicking/crackling problems with Live 9?

I dont have the exact same problem as you. I will say that Live 9 starts falling apart way quicker than Live 8 ( cpu spikes, pops, crackles ) also, i pretty much always have to use a 512 buffer size when I start adding a few 3rd party plugs. Live 8 I'd usually have it on 128, then once the project g...

Re: Any tips on reversing automation lines etc. in ableton?

same tool...only works on clip based automation/modulation ...so arranger automation is no go but arrangement modulation is good to go.

edit* - so the workaround is- drag the clip to session and reverse the automation, hen bring it back to arranger

Re: How to make Kick Drums hit HARD

alot of times it just comes down to the right kick. I haventchecked out your examples, but if your tryin to make "trap" or dubstep, Im guessing the examples u show are samples. I know people are gonna say its bad and loud is evil, bla bla bla, but clipping is a great way to add some smack ...

Re: A few hrs left before 20% discount expires - questions !

The audio engine is still the same beautiful ableton engine since the version 7 update. so no change there. However, there is def better sound quality in v9. Lots of the effects have been rewritten ( compressor, EQ ) also on others the algos have been updated, filters in reverb, overdrive's distorti...
