i can get them to sync, but they drift apart really quickly, within a few minutes it is very noticeable and unusable.

Ableton losing sync signal

Hi All

Just upgraded from 6 to 8 so I can use the APC. When I'm playing live I have a Kaoss Pad KP3 set the BPM and Ableton syncs off that via USB. However since upgrading to 8, sometimes if I'm too pad-happy with the Kaoss pad, ableton pops up a message telling me that the sync has been lost and ...

Re: Akai APC 40 help please!!!

i got pissed off with it all and reformatted my entire disc. I currently have both working at the same time, basically when I installed windows I had all my gear plugged in and turned on, so when windows had finished installing the devices were all recognised... (by the way apc does have drivers but ...

Re: Akai APC 40 help please!!!

Sandstorm : I believe our particular problem may be caused by a conflict between the apc and mbox drivers. I have my machine's system disk partitioned into two, one for internet etc and the other for my audio apps.

I was able to install the apc40 drivers on the side of the system that had never ...

Re: Akai APC 40 help please!!!

I have exactly the same prob as Sandstorm... Same setup too.. thought it might have been the Mbox interfering but it doesn't install the driver when it's unplugged either...

I know it's not the APC 40 cos it works on my Mac no probs. Definitely a windows only problem.

key commands and such

Hi all,

I've assigned midi/key commands to each channel so that when I click a button or press a key I can swap between channels, only problem is that when i do it live automatically switches the view to show the effects rack, rather than the waveform. Strange thing is, when I click the channel ...

i'd also like to know if theres a way to warp recordings which change tempo and preserve the tempo change in the clip.... i doubt it tho! Shame cos I have so many tunes which do that ...

songs which change tempo

this is probably a daft question but is there anyway to warp an entire track that changes tempo, say from 174bpms then slows down to a kind of electo part at 140 or so and returns to 174...

Obviously it would be best that the overall tempo of the track does not change to a specific value, but ...

smooth midi control

hi all, I'm a fairly new user but here's my problem...

When I assign MIDI control to, say, an EQ knob or a fader, it is usually pretty smooth, ie when the hardware knob is at zero, the corresponding fader is at zero and when the fader is at 127 so is the knob. However some things that I assign ...
