For all of us who create mixes from live recordings that weren't captured on just one device:
Would love to see the ability to sync audio files the same way you can in video editing software like daVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro.
Is there a Max for Live device that can do this? (If so, I'm assuming ...

Re: Can you EVENLY warp an entire clip?
Thank you. Yes, so the difference in length is a result of one clip's origin being in 44.1 kHz and the other's in 48 kHz. A simple resampling of one clip to the format of the other would've done the trick, but the 44.1 kHz clip had already been mixed and re-exported as 48 kHz, effectively "baking in ...

Can you EVENLY warp an entire clip?
I'm trying to match a long (2+ hours) audio file to another one. They were recorded at the same event.
The reason they are not syncing up was originally a sample rate mismatch. Long story short, resampling either file is not an available solution.

Re: Review: Live 11 more "resource intensive" than 10?
Thanks. Yes, I will do my own testing, but that will be anecdotal only.
I'm looking for some hard evidence (statements from Ableton themselves or from their engineers) regarding the actual changes in the underlying engine of the program. I find statements like that of the author in article from my ...

Can "daisy chain"-saving eventually corrupt a set?
TLDR : I have reason to believe that a complex Live-set that I have kept developing for years now, has become buggy.
It makes me wonder if it ever becomes advisable to "rebuild" a set from scratch for reliability of performance.
After lots of testing trying to locate the reason for higher CPU ...

Review: Live 11 more "resource intensive" than 10?
Has the code become less efficient?
I'd really like to get to the bottom of whether full releases of Ableton Live are becoming increasingly more resource-hungry (CPU), or whether that's a myth.
This review from Engaget makes that claim for Live 11 vs 10, and 10 vs 9 etc.:

AUDIO- vs GROUP track CPU performance
"Group" tracks in Live don't offer clip recording, the closest alternative seems to be to send the outputs of the individual tracks to a dedicated additional Audio track that functions essentially as the group track.
Is there a performance (CPU) benefit to using "Group" tracks (vs the above ...

Live's frame-rate on "follow" is low
How can the drawing speed be improved when playing back in arrangement view with "follow" enabled?
It's very choppy, about 10fps.
Since Live doesn't have video settings, are we stuck with this behavior, or is there another way?

Live blocks copying of recorded wav's
Has anyone found a solution to Live blocking the copying of recorded WAV-files out of the samples folder while Live is running?
I don't want to have to export the tracks, that is so much more tedious than just grabbing them out of the folder as they are.
Anyone know why Live is doing this? I don't ...

Option for "Virgin"-territory of Automated Parameters
This feature is available in some other DAWs, such as Steinberg's.
I often find myself in need of automating parameters in sections of my arrangement, but want those parameters not be automated during the rest of the arrangement.

...and you didn't even have to disable the script either. All you had to do was set it up to receive midi input and then actually sent the right midi data to it. How can I change how the buttons are mapped without disabling the script, since Akai does not offer user modes with their products?

APC Key 25 - Custom mapping WITH LEDs?
Does anyone know if the LED's on Akai's APC Key 25 can be made to light up when it is not used with the midi control script?
If not, how involved is it to edit the standard script? (I believe it's written in Python which I have no experience with).
Has anyone tried using remotify to create custom ...

Re: How to record new midi clip in occupied slot
Made a false statement in my post. "CLIP DEL" does not remove key/MIDI mappings from the affected slot.
Anyways, I still cannot figure out how to execute remote deletion and re-recording of a clip in the same slot (using a controller other than a Push).
Any ideas?

How to record new midi clip in occupied cell
I'm using a MIDI clip to record automation loops of device parameters on the fly.
Looking for a way to start recording a new MIDI clip in place of the existing one (triggered via controller). Would need to be able to do this repeatedly.
