Any other opinions/comments on the matter? ^__^
As I posted a day or two ago, Live 8.1 isn't working at all for me in Win7 64-bit Home Premium. It crashes consistently when I try to get it to scan my VSTi folder. No answer yet to my post, so I guess it's time for a message to tech support.

Try emailing their support. I had a problem where one of my tracks would not play after uploading it. They replied within a few hours and fixed it. They were also incredibly nice and apologetic about it.

The complaints and bad word of mouth have now got to the point where it is damaging Ableton's reputation. This is why they have had to release this statement and shift their development focus.

Personally I would have prefer and have more respect for Ableton if they did not do any announcements at ...

Linux is plenty stable if you don't touch it. Stand back, let it run and it will run forever. No viruses, nothing.

But...try to change it, configure it and so on. Load this interesting-looking package and it's dependencies, and unload that one. Lather, rinse repeat.

Nice tune. Could be improved by having more variation and being shortened by a minute or two, but overall enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

I had a problem with Sampletank crashing, after emailing Ableton it turns out running Live as administrator (right click on the Live icon and click 'Run as administrator') solves the problem. Perhaps this will help with your issue.
