Did you buy the current white model or prev gen? Boost your memory to 4 GB you won't regret it! (mine supports only 2 GB officially but I can boost it to 3 GB..)

From what I remember when I researched this extra ram thing (as last but 1 gen MBPs could physically have 4gig installed but are ...

Pitch Black

That's beautiful!

Though, I reckon if you replaced the knobs and fader caps with wood as well.......

I'm liking the wooden crossfader idea actually... hadnt thought of that!

Cheers guys, just had a chance to play with this - couldn't get the fades or attenuation as smooth for the sweep as I'd like with layers but did come up with another solution with gains (utility) at the start & end of the frequency bands (one to lose the boom, & an extra one for good measure to ...

creating a smooth gain dip in a 1 knob filter sweep rack

Easy guys, just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to a solution for this?

I've created a simple hi-pass filter rack, with filter freq, resonance & also gain (via utility plug) mapped to 1 macro/controller knob...

+1 for Dynaudio - BN5a's arent very beefy in terms of sub ,so if you have the cash - BM6s are superb, I ended up spending more in the long run by gettng BM5a's & then adding a BM9s sub a few months later.

more midi control/multiple waveforms + implementation ideas

Hi Guys - 2 feature wishlist points (with implementation suggestions)

1. I've only been using live for a month (after 12 years of cubase & logic) but am already feeling really limited by the midi-control assignment options. The 'point & click' manor of the midi assign page is great, & very easy to ...

Ah - thanks - Makes sense, would there be anyway the remote scripts (& correspondng note numberss are published?) - i can see in the ableton manual there is a mention of browser focus as an option for mackie controls, wonder if there is a note on that would do this with the faderfox, not mackie ...

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get as much from my controllers (Faderfox Lc2 & LD2) as possible, & am nearly there with customising my set-up, but am completely stumped on one point.

Ok - found it - for anyone looking to do the same & replace the default click samples they can be found (at least for Live7 on MAC) inside the live app package contents - specifically inside /package contents/contents/app-resources/misc/metronome/samples & called metronomeup.wav & metronome.wav.

Is this right? - anyone knows what these .WAVs are named & if it's poss to swap these with an already installed version of live(7)?

umm.. come again?

edit: or do you wanna use live to navigate to them and swap them there ...

Re: metro gnome

i noticed someone asking if there's a keyboard shortcut to switch metronome on/off. i don't know.
i DO know however, that you can make the metronome sound anything you want it to be by replacing the 2 wavs (i think) wherever they're kept in the install folder. ha ha

aha, i feel a little less like i'm going mad now at least :)

I've got the controller settings from the manuals etched on my brain I've been staring at them for so long, but cant see any reference to the push behaviour anywhere - in fact comparing from the manual the control set 1A encoders marked ...
