Re: The Great BMW Debate

This is classic. One criminal opines the other criminal's lack of morality. :P Absolutely! I mean he was drunk in public, he should obviously never again opinion on morality, EVER!  The one thing he didn't tell you was that he was wearing sweatpants....while drunk and crossing the r...

Re: The Great BMW Debate

This is classic. One criminal opines the other criminal's lack of morality. :P :P Yes, there’s a special circle of hell reserved for those who cross the street in front of a bar without using the crosswalk. :x I don't know what kind of person believes it's ok to cross a street at a point of conveni...

Re: The Great BMW Debate

The laws and fining systems in the US are such that if you fuck up and can't pay then you're looking at doing time and even then you may have to owe money. This creates a situation where people can fuck up and then go into a total downward spiral because of the monetary aspect of their situation wh...

Re: The Great BMW Debate

I could think of a few worse things ;) Nobody can throw your own ideas down the shithole as succinctly as you can galt. Please, keep talking. Nah, it's ok. If you've got the money you could pay off your fine or maybe have good enough insurance to cover it. Only poor people would see forced labour c...

Re: Cowardly Refugee Running Away From Problems

Capitalism is a reflection of the (human social)world and not the other way around. I disagree. Capitalism is a specific economic form. It arose in the 12th century and in the 1600s it took over via the English Civil War which was the capitalists' revolution to remove feudalism. Our culture is very...

Re: Cowardly Refugee Running Away From Problems

I may have misunderstood Galt, but I hope he is not trying to argue the Capitalism is truth! I have bad news for you, sunshine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Action [Mises] presents the case for laissez-faire capitalism based on praxeology, or rational investigation of human decision-making. It...

Re: I Don't understand the Issues with Obamacare

^ The middle class is a gimmick as well. It's an illusory and yet scarely real place where one is comfortably "made." This is not meant to imply that there are not those who have worked extremely hard to reach this illusory class; it's meant to imply that once this destinatin of delusion h...

Re: I Don't understand the Issues with Obamacare

Atlas Shrugged is actually a good book. Far too long, but good. The point Rand makes is simple: People who have no mojo will always trying to parasite off those who do. There's nothing revolutionary, or even controversial about this claim, yet her work has become associated with the most eccentric,...

Re: Show us yours (custom themes, skins etc etc)

I just downloaded Aquamacs but I'm not sure how I would use it at the moment. I'm not a programmer. The closest I get is a bit of html and some scripts for KeyRemap. I do the html in the built-in editor in Sandvox. I keep thinking I should learn Apple Scripts but I'm not really sure what I can use ...

Yes! I would have starved to death had you not responded within a week. In fact, try not responding to this post for a week. I will then be dead and you can post sans yo. You will still be required to wear the helmet and leash; don't think my death releases you from that obligation. http://1.bp.blo...

Re: Show us yours (custom themes, skins etc etc)

I've never used it. Am I missing much? I just use TextEdit for most stuff, or maybe Wrangler occasionally for special formats. I don't use any office software. I do colour the background in TextEdit to get rid of the harsh white. I also use yType for typing things like symbols and my email address,...
