I've been lurking in the harddrive threads and adam jay and a few others seem to have the laptop hard drive issue cornered, I just want to know now that people have had the 16mb cache drives and the 7200rpm drives for a minute now, what is the current concensus? are most folks going with the 16mb/54...

audio interfaces you get what you pay for.

as far as the audio editors go you can't go wrong with 'peak' on the mac side, but why you left the pc side in the first place is a whole other story

I'd like to connect it to the digital out on my m-audio soundcard.

i see, but i'm not even trying to send midi out to fruity loops, i thought rewire meant that it started and stopped the same time as the master application, isn't that how reason works?

and unbelievably more powerful than a maxed out 17" powerbook with all the options.

is anybody having problems getting FL5 to start and stop with Live 4 while in rewire mode, i'm just trying to get my patterns in Fl to start and stop when i press play and stop in live, maybe im missing something but isn't rewire suppose to make this possible or do i just have it wrong?
