Re: publishing manual in formats other than PDF

Hey - you manage to get anything sorted for this? Would love the Live manual in ePub?

No, don't think I'd give an .epub conversion a try without the manual in some kind of convertable format (word might be ok, for instance). PDF isn't really convertable. If you were really desperate, there are ...

Re: publishing manual in formats other than PDF

PDFs on the Kindle suffer a number of problems. Getting it to "basically display properly" while not having to zoom is the only thing I can "fix", which I did by cropping the PDF. There's very limited-to-none search/indexing/linking possible, which means you can really only read the manual serially ...

publishing manual in formats other than PDF

I noticed an earlier post about publishing the Live manual for reading on Kindle or other e-reader devices. For some reason, can't find that topic anymore, though searching for "kindle" will find the hit for it.

Anyhoo, I'd also like to see the manual in a format other than just PDF as well ...

Re: Korg nano coupon for Live 7 -> 8 upgrade?

Either it's a bug in their system, or they just decided to allow it despite saying they wouldn't on the nano coupon page, but they DID take the coupon code for my 6 -> 7 upgrade.

I think at this point we'll have to have someone try it and find out.

Korg nano coupon for Live 7 -> 8 upgrade?

Anyone know if the Korg Nano coupons - http://www.ableton.com/korg-nano - would work with an Ableton 7 -> 8 upgrade? Although not stated, the coupon DID work with a 6 -> 7 upgrade.

You can download the manuals from the M-Audio site. I don't have one, but have looked into it. It does serve as a sound card, so you can listen to DAW output, by redirecting Live's output to it. It is NOT USB powered, it has a separate power source.

Not sure why you'd get one if you didn't have a ...

Difference is mine was wireless bluetooth and I hooked it to a guitar strap.

Of course, wireless; beauty! Of course, I have some competition with the guitar strap ... my guitar. I've been waiting for someone to do a reasonable wii remote -> midi interface, so I can attach one to my headstock and ...

Bluetooth Mouse

I've had one for 6 months, same model, and love it. One less freaking cord to deal with. After waking up, takes a few seconds for the computer to find the mouse. Other than that, no problems. Would definitely replace it with another if I lost it. Batteries lasted 3 months.

concrete example

As a concrete example, I'd like to be able to control my Line6 Pod. Ideally, I'd like to have a script invocation stored in a clip. And the script should (obviously) have midi i/o support. I could then have the following sort of clips: load some presets, save current presets, switch to preset. Might ...
