Hey, it's been 8 years since my original post. Haha.
Yes it's mad that this is not changed yet.
I guess sustian pedals are not so common among Ableton users?

Sustain pedal on stop...
Hi guys,
One thing that keeps bugging me when programming synths/piano is that the sustain pedal doesn't shut off when I press stop.
I keep having to either re-press the sustain pedal or really quickly press start/stop to get Live to stop before the sustain pedal is activated in the clip.
Is there ...

Re: Warning sound in Live8
Thanks guys, I had to turn off the volume for warning sounds to get rid of it.
Unchecking "play user interface sound effects" didn't do the trick.
It never happened in Live 7, that's why I'm asking...
I hit save all the time, it comes from my Logic years;-)
Best,
Fredrik

Warning sound in Live8
Hi everybody,
I just upgraded to 8 and now everytime I hit save, I get a Mac warning sound, if I haven't made any changes.
I'm a frequent "saver", and I would hate to break this habit because of the sound, can't find anywhere to turn it off...
Anyone know how to do it?
Best,
Fredrik

Re: Upgrade or not
But If I install 8, won't that screw with my library?
I remember installing the beta of 8 early on, and I had to mess with my library to get it working again.
I guess I could install it on another hard drive.
I just wanted to know if there are any nasty bugs still there...

Upgrade or not
Hi folks,
I'm using 7 right now, working great on both Macbook pro and my G5.
Been waiting for a solid 8 to do the upgrade.
What's tempting me is mostly the nested tracks, fades & groove engine.
But I don't wanna sacrifice stability for those features.
So my question is simply... is it time to go ...

Re: Problems after installing Live8 demo...
No, the only new items in the library according to anstallation date yesterday is "project.cfg" and "UpgradeLog.txt",
both in the Ableton Project Info folder.
I had to force quit the installion, so maybe those two files got installed and are corrupting the library?
Should I try to delete them ...

Problems after installing Live8 demo...
I installed the Live8 suite demo from the website.
Now I can't "Collect All and save" my sessions in Live7.
I get "Index failed: Disk I/O error" message, and this is totally ruining my day...
Anybody seen this before?
Best,
Fredrik

Transpose midi clips
Is there another fast way to transpose midi clips than putting the pitch midi effect first on the track? Would be great to be able to batch pitch midi clips...

Fredrik

Blockfish AU plugins and Leopard compabiblity problem?
I have Blockfish Fishfilet plugins in my plugin components folder and I used to be able to use those plugins (which I love), but now I don't see them in my Live library (and a couple of other AU plugs). Does anyone know if it's a Leopard compability problem?
