You got it. If I set the default color as blue, it still gives me brown everytime a new clip is created. I've tried it with the "auto clip color" option on and off. with the same result. I HATE brown!

Thanks,

My Default Clip Color Won't Work!

Since I started using Live 5, my Default Clip Color setting has no effect on new clips- they're always brown (my least favorite color).

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Yeah! What Fred said!

It's a good point, because we DO spend a lot of time looking at the same, boring color set. The different "skins" in Live are all variations on the same, bland thing. I would LOVE it if we could customize it more. I know it doesn't directly affect Live's ability to help us ...

Thanks for the info, everyone.

octiliniu, of course, now that you ask for it, I can't find that article! There's the one from Ableton ( http://www.ableton.com/index.php?main=artists&sub=reid ), but it's too brief! I'll let you know if I find it.

Guitarist needs hands-free way to use Session View

Hello all you sexy Live users all over this weird, wonderful Earth,

First a disclaimer: I'm not a newbie, and yes, I did research this topic before posting.

That said, I have scoured this forum and the Live manual looking for a way to get Live to automatically advance to the next clip while ...

Quick note about the Sennheiser HD 280s: If you have middle-of-the-ear piercing(s), the Senns have plenty of interior space. Just thought you should know. Long live rockets.

Yes!! When I was first getting into computer-based multitrack recording, I had a friend who used Sonar, so I tried Sonar. I knew it was complex, but still wasn't prepared for the steep learning curve. I then tried a demo of Cubase SX, which was better than Sonar, in my opinion, but it took me so ...

I use Sennheiser HD 280 headphones. They are comfy and sound amazing, plus they block out a lot of noise. The only complaint I have after a year of regular use is that a chunk of plastic recently fell or broke off from the underside of the head-band. It didn't affect the use of the 'phones at all ...

(Dynamic) Time Display

I prefer to use Live 4.0 as my main audio sequencer. I know Live is not intended to replace Cubase, Pro Tools, and the like, but for me, it gets the job done. There is, however, one feature that most all audio sequencers have that is missing from Live- a time display. You know, the song (Arrangement ...

I would love to have the ability to change multiple clip colors at a time; it would also be cool to be able to select several clips, and sequentially name them. Say you have 4 different drum loops, all variations of a funk loop. You could select them, and choose a function from the "Edit" menu ...
