good:

- a real better sounding sound engine !!!!! GREAT !!!
- crossfader!!
- fullscreen mode
- gate
- recording engine

bad:

- nearly the double amount of cpu usage!!!
- no support of older asd files...
- you cannot select a midcontroller to the new crossfader yet

is it rentable to go for a new powerbook or better to use a pc laptop ---> performance / price etc. your suggestions please ::: thanks :::

ok, I need to add something important...

full compatibility with the emi 2-6 audio device... (under xp)

(If you want to use latencies under 20 ms you need to create a "liveoptions.txt" file etc... in other audio apps there are no problems )

hi,

first of all it's not a loop, I loaded into live... I arranged the loop using these two sounds... kick and clap...

why does live manipulate the sounds ...

so I did new files without a hihat so you can better hear the difference...

nothing is normalized it's just the rendered loop of each program...
all levels in both ...

it can't depend on the soundcard,
because the audiofile was rendered directly in live...


tonight I will make the files again without normalizing....

using the same samples in each program...

not really, but it sounds better than live... just listen !!!

ok, I will post new files...

but the when the sounds are loaded into live they sound very different to the original samples... with fruityloops there's no problem..
