Here's my take on this idea:

Have a track similar to a group track, ie playlist track.

Playlist tracks allow you to load existing live files from the browser (similar to what happens in session view now, but of course we are talking about the arranger here), also retaining the tempo track

I play a tele and never have this kind of problem. If the buzz goes away when you touch the bridge or volume (is the volume knob metal?), then to me indicates there are some earthing issues.

I think they must be re-designing the midi spec.

Last time I checked Live already thinks a program change event is a pitch bend message while assigning mappings.

Seriously, Why cant we use program changes to fire a clip or change rack chains?

Who knows, maybe sysex might get thrown in for good ...

I'm not sure this is a bug... Why would Live send the PC again if it thinks the device it is sending to is already on that patch? Some synths tend to stumble over a PC, so why send it more than once?
