how customizable is the BCR in mackie mode. There's probably quite a few features I won't use. But, i'm very interested in it communicating with Live properly.

thanx..

so, it looks like i'm limited to only 8 channels of auto maps?
It seems that only instant mapped controls respond properly with my BCR2000. I need the BCR to receive the midi status back from the channel faders and pans so it coincides and displays properly on the LEDs... It also says that Ableton ...

yeah, i found the magic folder with the midi maps in it. I guess I just need to back it up, and do some trial and error.

I've tried the MIDI dump from Ableton. I know about the bottom row of encoders on the BCR2000 defaulting to the first 8 channels of Live. It starts at Ch1 CC97 and goes to CC104 ...

well, i'm not sure exactly.
i've never looked into this area of ableton. in fact, there are a lot of areas i haven't explored in ableton yet.
a lot of abeltons features are hidden, and i'm trying to get into them deeply...

Its just, with this piece of gear, there are so many variables, and I'm ...

Q's about programming the BCR2000

Hey all. I hope to grab the attention of some experienced BCR2000 users.
There are some funny things about the BCR2000 that I can't seem to figure out.
For example, after mapping all the mixer channel faders to my BCR encoders, they work, but frequently they all return to 0, and I can't get them ...

old MOTU FW 828 = WAY MORE CPU HEADROOM. :)

So, I finally got a FW interface. MOTU 828 (the original).
And immediately i noticed that my CPU meter dropped considerably. THIS IS EXCELLENT. The sound quality is excellent and it performs perfectly.

I had no idea I'd gain CPU headroom by using a FW interface. I thought if anything is would eat ...

pitch black uses dub feeds. delays with the feedback cranked all the way up and feed themselves.
I personally have a numark HDX, and I always have a few bars/loops or songs loaded into it so i can mix off an ableton set, and also mix back in.
My HDX is connected to my FW interface through Spdif ...

Is it possible to have the BCR2000 to display db meters?

I saw a video of someone using the LEDs on the BCR2000 to display EQ/bandwidth responses. I was wondering if there is a way I could have each tracks db meters display back on the BCR's knobs.

BTW, i use a mac...
