a friend of mine has just got a controller, but it only has Midi on it,

is it possible to convert the midi connection to USB? and if so will live recognise it?

he is using an Apple Powerbook and using the coreaudio so has no midi in.

would any drivers for the midi device need to be installed on ...

i think i have found the prob to why live does not sometimes sync up correctly and drift

follow these instructions below for midi syncing, but then read on...........

Both machines have to have some type of midi interface.

Run the midi out from your master machine to the midi in on the slave ...

yep the mac can handle WAV

when i send my mate who is on a MAC a wav file with ASD attached from my PC, his mac does not recognise the ASD and just loads the wav file unwarped, how can i fix this?

We are looking to do an ableton live set synced up together going b2b.

ive warped about 200 tracks on my laptop so far, and he has warped some too, we want to be able to swap warped files with each other so we dont have to warp ...

i tried this last week and it worked perfectly both laptops were perfectly in time, and running along side each other, the midi latency between the 2 was about 18ms but i just adjusted the timing in ableton prefs and it was perfect, it didnt drift at all.
