find the right sample, compress a lot with a slow attack, EQ and get a transient shaper if needed... don't bother layering sounds from scratch unless you really know what you're doing, because you can find a sample for almost every kick drum you've ever listened to.

They would have to redo the entire interface for it to be at all useful so I wouldn't hold your breath.

i remember when cubase worked better in the cracked version than the original one, because of the CPU stress that the dongle check was causing. back then it was notorious, and many ppl that has the legit cubase worked with the cracked one. dont know if this is the case. im still stuck with Live 6 ...
