Re: My Udemy class on music production

Your course looks pretty good. I watched the intro video and looked over the topics. I think I'll check it out. Be nice to learn about other workflows.

Anyone using Tascam 12 as an interface?

Hi,

I see in the search a few people have had some issues with these mixers, but is anyone here using them (or the 16/24) as an audio interface and having a good experience with it?
It seems like it would be a great interface if you have a lot of instruments. They claim it integrates with live so ...

Re: Motu ultralight inputs not registering

No, I'm on windows.

But, I was able to resolve the issue by doing a factory reset. The volume knobs for mic 1 and 2 are also buttons. If you press the mic 2 knob it allows you to get into settings and from there you can do a factory reset. I suspect I might have messed with something on the ...

Motu ultralight inputs not registering. *Solved*

I am having trouble getting the inputs to register when recording instruments with a Motu ultralight mk4.
The mk4 has two mic inputs on the front named 1 and 2. I am trying to record a bass guitar on one input and some drums throught a mixer on the other as mono inputs. I can see on the virtual ...

Installer files

Hi All,
This is probably a very basic and stupid question, but are installer files necessary to keep once the program has been installed? Im using windows 10. They are taking up quite a bit of space in the downloads folder.

Thanks

Re: Falcon 2 macro control

Hi, appreciate the reply. This was semi helpful as I did learn about right clicking to assign to host daw. But this way is very tedious and confusing. It gives a list of 128 values to assign the knob to. Thing is though, I have no idea what those 128 things are in the daw and it would be way too ...

Falcon 2 macro control

Hi all, I've been checking out the newly updated version of falcon and so far it seems really great. Anyway, I cant seem to configure any of the parameters to be used with lives macros. Here's what I'm doing: on the vst wrapper the configure button let's you map parameters from the vst. This doesn't ...

Re: Creating loop of a guitar riff

Hi. This is what I do. I like to record into session view. You just hit the circle on an empty slot and a new clip will start recording. You can record pretty much as long as you want to. Once you have a recorded clip you can highlight sections within the clip that you want to loop and use cntrl+l ...

Re: midi drum patterns

I like addictive drums. It comes with a bunch of patterns that you can drag into Ableton.
But have you tried just editing the ones you already have? Cutting, rearranging splicing, ect...All done randomly can lead to some very interesting results.

It also comes with a manual which I have found pretty handy at times. If you are a newbie, You'd be remiss not to at least thumb through it.
