I already know if you type in xxxbpm in the master clip section it will change the tempo. I also know that you can erase the stop buttons in the row so it won't stop audio...
So usually in my DJ sets I have all my tracks on some rows and if I know there's a track I want to automatically change tempo ...

The Transition from Ableton Live 9 Beta to the REAL version?
So I got Ableton Live 9 Beta. I was pretty suprised about how stable it was actually more stable than Live 8. So since I'm an idiot, without thinking I started producing tracks I'm getting paid for with release dates in Beta 9 (thinking hey, I'll buy 9 when it comes out but until then this is pretty ...

VST's synths controlling each other
I'm on the fence about buying Max for live. I use traktor live so I'm trying to see the full advantages of Max in a production sense other than just a bunch of cool ass manipulators/manglers/beatmashers... I make a lot of dubstep. And I sequence pretty complex LFO wobbles in Massive and I like to ...

Using the browser with a midi controller...
I got the Traktor X1 and am planning on rewiring traktor into ableton live... Even with just my producing I feel like the browser requires so many clicks. Is there a way either through scripts or Max for live (which I haven't purchased yet but I seriously about to in 5 minutes especially if it ...

Re: Live 8.2.2 out now
Certain sessions of mine are completely unplayable in 8.2.2, white noise as soon as I open the session! WHile older sessions worked, but blasted white noise in reverbs every once in a while and I would have to disable the verbs. But maybe my computer is just )*#&$#$ed

Re: Live 8.2.2 out now
I just realized, I bought DR-MS a couple weeks ago and that's when stuff has gotten strange if DR-MS is in there. ANybody else had problems with Dr-MS in Ableton?

Re: Live 8.2.2 out now
Yeah totally legit. Been working totally fine forever. Even before this update ABleton started acting REAL REAL strange. Right click menu pops up as a green box without being able to select anything from the Menu. I have been running ABleton for 2 years now with very little issues except for crashes ...

Re: Live 8.2.2 out now
Insane things going on with this. Trilogy just give blasts of white noise now and all my return tracks have insane blasts of white noise. What the hell is going on?!

Re: Logic Studio 9 vs Ableton live 8 Suite
With all this shit its to each his own. I know Wolfgang Gartner composes in Live and recently (through following on twitter I gathered) he started mixing in Live. And he's doing quite alright  but I've seen his studio setup and he has two monitors side by side with the single Live DAW window ...

Re: Logic Studio 9 vs Ableton live 8 Suite
I've been using Live for 2 years now. Before that my day job was mixing with Pro Tools. When I decided to quit and go all out with production I fell deeply deeply in love with Live... until things started getting serious. I'm falling in love with Logic now and the two together are priceless. Live is ...

Re: how can i move audio while retaining its original position
NEvermind I figured out the way. In sound design your off the grid 95% of the time and I usally use Logic or PT (shift drag). But in ABleton you have to enable the grid. Make a selection of the clip but starting at some point in the grid, cut. Then I scroll down to another track and select the same ...

Re: how can i move audio while retaining its original position
Bringing back an old post in a search on google for this problem using a Mac. There has to be a work around for this. Somehow selecting a clip, shift command L to wrap the region, and then is there a way to select the start point of the wrapper so I can click in another track, get the start point to ...

Re: how can i move audio while retaining its original position
I've been experimenting doing sound design work in Ableton. This single bug is killing me on the mixdowns.

My "Pallet" ableton set.
Hey! So I thought I would share with you a cool method I've added to my workflow. Its especially usefual because I switched to Logic a little while back (but it doesn't matter what DAW you use). I found that going to Ableton and rendering out into Logic keeps me from over-tweaking shit. It switches ...
