Re: how can i move audio while retaining its original position
I've been experimenting doing sound design work in Ableton. This single bug is killing me on the mixdowns.

Re: how can i move audio while retaining its original position
Bringing back an old post in a search on google for this problem using a Mac. There has to be a work around for this. Somehow selecting a clip, shift command L to wrap the region, and then is there a way to select the start point of the wrapper so I can click in another track, get the start point to the beginning of wrapper and paiste? As of now everything is freehand. I feel like I'm missing something here. There MUST be a way. I have a sound design session due and I made in in Live. Its all gravy until I need to produce stems. I have like 60 tracks that need to be brought down to 7 ASAP. Please help!

NEvermind I figured out the way. In sound design your off the grid 95% of the time and I usally use Logic or PT (shift drag). But in ABleton you have to enable the grid. Make a selection of the clip but starting at some point in the grid, cut. Then I scroll down to another track and select the same point on the grid and it paistes the clip in its original place. Kind of a b*&#$ but I I'm sure I'll get used to it
