Bought the Korg MicroKontrol a few days ago ... I'm in love! (though mini-keyboards might not be everybodies taste).

Eehhh... Have you read the manual? This is one of Live's main features.

Selcect your VSTi. Click the small triangle/arrow to unfold all the VST parameters. Press ctrl-M. Click the one you'd like to midi map. Move a fader/knob on your UC-33. Press ctrl-M. Done.

This is of course after you've set ...

Will Live6 allow you to put Impulse on a separte Midi channel?

I would probably the last who can answer this but I haven't found any way to do this.

btw: Can somebody tell me what the best way is to assign CC's from the UC-33 to third party VSTi's that I use in Live?
For example I want to ...

I guess I will end up with your described method more or less, thanks stjohn.
In fact I was starting to create presets for the UC with all unique CC's but if you don't mind sharing I could save myself that tedious task! :)

Thanks Lo-Fi! You mean the "Save Current Set as Template" in the Prefs/File Folder tab?
I'm using this but I'M still not sure how to assign permanent controllers to a device, i.e. so that re-appear when I delete an Operator and later add a new one.

I don't think there are any template, at least not for the Live instruments (only the mixer strip).
Could you explain the "template Live set" a bit more? Do you mean to just create a live set, add the needed instruments, tracks etc and set the midi controllers or is it something more specific ...

Setting MIDI CC permanently on a Live Instrument?

Hi,

I'm totally noob to the controller stuff, got the UC33 since 2 years but now finally decided to configure it all so it makes sense for me.

I'm using a UC-33e and a Korg MicroKontroller with Live. The UC-33 is mainly used for instruments/effect control and I want to for example take a Operator ...

Congrats! You have recognized the number one reason why Desktop Music sucks for live performing, no matter what software you use!
As long as you have to use the mouse it's a tedious fumbling that should better stay between the studio walls!

It's a pity but with computers becoming more ...

Non-Working VSTi's in Live?

Hi,

I've experienced that several VSTi's crash in Live while they run fine in Cubase. For example the Novation Bassstation, the z3ta+ and the Korg M1. The last two run if I use them through Xlutop Chainer but for example the Bassstation doesn't even do that.

I was wondering if there's a list ...

Thanks for the info! Have found out that it works by dedicating one track for the instrument.

Is it possible to switch to the drum editor for such drum tracks, instead using the piano roll or is the drum editor only available when using Impulse (wouldn't make much sense IMHO but you never know)?

Hi,
The battery side of this is clear to me but how do you configure it in Live to have the battery channels routed to their own channels?
Sorry, I'm very new to Live and haven'T an idea how this all works so I got a few questions about this ...
Is it possible to use only one Battery instance on ...
