Re: removing reverb on a track
Use a utility plugin to make the sound mono. Most reverbs are stereo and sit left and right. If needed you can add a gate after utility mono making. Start with little mono and make it more mono if needed. You can later add a short simple delay and get stereo back. Left-Right delay difference about ...

Re: Push and AudioUnits
I'm only using AU currently, and have a couple of options for you. OPTION #1 - Unfold Device Parameters: Click the "Black Triangle" next to the AU on/off button in Ableton. That's the "Unfold Device Parameters" button. From there you can assign whatever controls you want which I ...

Pre/Post Toggle issue in Drum Rack Sends.
Possible Bug Found Ableton 9.1.9 I'm going through the process of setting up a new base template for myself and I noticed what I believe is an error with the Pre/Post Toggle settings for sends. In all regular and group tracks the Pre/Post Toggle works perfectly fine. However when you go into Drum Ra...

Re: THE NEW BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9!!!!
Hmm, here are a couple that have been bugging me for awhile. 1. Audio routing templates. I have several Motu sound cards, and sometimes I just plug in a set of headphones to play with live as I don't feel like opening a flight case or heading to my studio and plugging in my computer to all of the ge...

EQ3 changes audio even when set to Unity Gain
OK so, within the last 6 months I have started using EQ3 a lot just because someone showed me it works as a highpass / lowpass filter with very low cpu usage. You can set the filter frequency, but you don't have control over the filter "Q". That's perfectly fine when all you want to do is ...

It's not a cheap route but if your really after a stable jitter free clock. You could run separate machines with apogee A/D D/A converters synced via word clock. That would give you sample accurate sync. The JackOSX route works, but it's been leaving me with a feeling that there has to be a better r...

Jack Sound Server
I use the JackOSX port of the Linux Jack sound server to run Live & Logic together. It has better interfaces for linux, but that's kind of expected as the OSX port isn't even out of beta yet. I'm using live for effects and audio warping duties. I'm using logic to gain the ability to use it's syn...
