playing grooves , no output showing
hi ppl..
in ableton 8 , when i drag one of the `grooves` (.agr files) into a midi channel i get `midi to` no output as default.. master out isnt an option, what am i doing wrong here?? the meters are showing a signal ! none of teh available options give me any sound.. this must be something simple ...

To get some busier, funky basslines going without messing up the timing, I've been dropping the tempo down to a comfortable level and then warping back up once I'm done. I love that that there isn't any noticeable drop in sound quality when I do this.

i run my fender jazz into a BD121 and just use that as a D.I , then into my emu 1820 and into live..... i got hold of amplitube 2 and amplitube svx vsts and they`re pretty damn good in my opinion.. someone mentioned the sonalkis sv315 mk 2 compressor vst is top notch and are the blue tubes bundles ...

i restored factory defaults on my soundcard(emu 1820) but that was to no avail... strange....

panning problem
cant understand this one... my panning doesnt seem to work (!) when panning tracks hard right, they dont move to the right in the stereo field and i lose all my volume for that track! its like the panning control is a volume control with hard left being max volume and hard right being zero volume ...

personally i record guitar direct/dry now.. i use 2 tracks : one panned hard left , one hard right (or 4 tracks and alter panning slightly on each to create a bigger sound)
and then i add effects , ive had some really great results using the amplitube vst`s lately
