Re: midi mapping problem

Is what I'm trying to do possible?

Might want to look at this:

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, though. You want one set of controls to alter the channel strip params on ALL the ...

Re: the os x tips thread

The holy grail I've been looking for is a way to move windows between Spaces with a key command, and not have to drag them using the little pop-out GUI thing. i.e. if Ctrl-5 moves you to space 5, Ctrl-Shift-Option-5 moves the current window to space 5.

This may help: http://www.macosxhints.com ...

Re: new to live, midi keyboard question

now it triggers every clip with "in" armed?

is there a way around this?

well the obvious answer here is to only have "in" selected for one track at a time.

but... if you're looking for something akin to "select a track, play its instrument", then I'm not sure there's a way to do that in Live ...

Had all 3 of those.

I was more looking along the lines of "well I measured the dimensions of the contact surface, then scratched them in a square into a chunk of wood with a boxcutter, and used that as a template to cut pieces of tape out of...".

Or, "I ...

warning: OT

unless one has studied traditional piano or keyboard performance technique, the need for having a piano-looking musical input device is really just a thought form, or an agreed upon meme that goes unquestioned. Yet is it really true?

You're not off the beaten path at all, Akshara. I ...
