*SOLUTION*
The Tap Tempo button is a toggle and temporarily takes over the 64 playable pads.
There you can tap your tempo out on any of the buttons until you're happy.
Then press the Tap Tempo button again to toggle this mode OFF
As I said previously this is a software design change ...

MIDI Editor: Custom Subdivisons: divide the grid into ANY #
Hello,
I've been using Live for over a decade now, and absolutely love it...it has become my "go to" software for almost everything I do musically...almost.
one feature that would make Live a much more viable option for composers would be to implement odd subdivisions of the grid (beyond triplets ...

Re: Cracks & pops when starting or stopping playback
I was able trace my "pops and clicks" to the plug-in 'Camel Space'...
for some reason, even when CS is turned off, each instance of CS causes little spikes in CPU% when stopping the sequencer. I had 7 racks w/ 8 instances of CS each; granted, they were all on separate chains so that only one would ...

Re: Cracks & pops when starting or stopping playback
bump.
CPU spikes every time I hit the stop button...in fact, if I open the set fresh and just hit stop 3 times, the CPU jumps north of 100%.
also noticed that, while I'm playing guitar through Live, if I hit "stop all clips", I get clicks/drop-outs...even if no clips were playing.

really appreciate anyone's help, thank you!

p.s. while M4L may not be my forte, if anyone should need music theory help, ask away!

Re: M4L signal routing?
thanks for the reply D!
hope it is possible; been researching M4L quite a bit and haven't found anything indicating it is.
my concern is that changing the "Audio To/From" is only accessible via mouse movements.
thanks again,
m

M4L signal routing?
hello,
I don't currently own M4L, but if it can do this, I'm sold!
I'd like to find a way to change the "Audio From" and "Audio To" of any track w/ out using a mouse.
ideally, I'd like to have this function mapped to a button that would toggle between two or more chosen paths.
has anyone done ...
