i'm in the market for an external, and i'm pretty seriously considering these guys, given their specs:

do you ever find that clicking a pad rapidly while audition is on produces variations in the tones that drumular is generating? i'm pretty sure that it's not just in my head, but i've certainly been wrong before. not that i'm particularly worried about it; just trying to understand how it works and ...

And the devs seem to be working on it constantly, it's already at version 1.03, they intruded a very cool additive modul in version 1.02.

i wish they'd work on a helpfile...synthesis is one thing, i don't expect them to learn it for me or anything. but getting stuff like midi learn to work ...

so, i got the demos for both, and i really like the way drumular sounds, but it's a little esoteric in terms of operation. i'm gonna spend some more time with it and try to wrap my tiny little head around it.

microtonic simply opens a blank vst window when i load it up - single or multi. i'm using ...

drumular vs. microtonic - discuss!

hey all. looking to upgrade from mda's drumsynth to something a little sexier and user-friendlier. it's more or less down to these two. what are ya'll's experiences with them? is microtonic worth the money if all i want it for is the synthesis? (my plan is to create percussion with whichever one i ...

no one who was into that wishes an audio-app to run under linux again.

also someone will have to write proper 1394 driver for all the
third party audio boxes.

trust me, m-audio and the like will never touch linux, not even
with a 10 foot pole

dude, m-audio and rme are widely recognized ...

operator phone tones

been having some fun playing around with this...

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/sound/telton.html

this is a little chart showing the grid that makes up the sounds that we hear when we dial the 12 standard touchtone keys on any phone from the last few decades (as well as "a" - "d ...

alright, i'll just start this off by apologizing up front for asking a question that has been undoubtedly answered here before. i really did try to search for the answers that i'm looking for, and i wasn't successful. this could have something to do with the fact that i've been banging my head ...

Re: solid state hard disks

i was looking at quoted 57mbps read, 32 write for the manufacturer in question), and i got to thinking: does that negate the need for multiple hard drives for audio work?

that's quite a bit slower than a hard drive though right? firewire starts at 400 mbps....SATA starts at 1500 mbps and ATA is ...

solid state hard disks

so i'm pretty stoked on the flash ram drives that are coming out right now, and i was reading about their access speeds (the article i was looking at quoted 57mbps read, 32 write for the manufacturer in question), and i got to thinking: does that negate the need for multiple hard drives for audio ...

yeah, the 999 looks sick as all frck, but $1800 srp? good god! that's the kind of thing that my low-level programming PREVENTS me from lusting after because it would threaten my survival (you know, by severely limiting my resources and all?) it's an evolutionary thing.
