I now want to start to use Live 8 live (instead of using it only in home studio) and ask myself how can you manage song-transitions live.
I think of using an 8 track session-view with some lines of clips per song and an empty arrangement view.

that's really interesting to "chain-route" a track individual for every song

i think, clip-envs are not useful in combination with live-adjusting via knobs like i want.
for e.g. if a value is faded to 0 (or better named 0% of the current absolute value) by ...

as an explanation a simple example what i want to do.
a track-send-parameter can at the end of the first song at an arbitrary value by live adjusting. now i want to set these track-send-parameter at -6db at the beginning of the second song. (in the sum there are sends, insert-fx-parameters for 8 ...

within a complete gig when you only lay down the stuff of the songs in the session-view & nothing into the arrangement & then manually change parameters (sends & individual fx-parameters) within one song, how can you set the many parameters correct for the next song?

i read /saw something about arrangement approaches but in the examples it was only within 1 song.
is it really doable for e.g. a 60 minutes gig to use a complete arrangement of 8 to 12 tracks filled with all audio-material- without problems?

I think of .als-files and I loaded them via open in the file-menu.

there are often crashes of live.
e.g. it seems to be that it is not possible to open another song when one song is already loaded in live. with different songs i had this problem.
(perhaps a memory-location-problem respectively release of memory???)

i sometimes get "out of memory" errors which lead to crashes.
in my opinion a professional software should have a reliable memory organisation. it could refuse a new integration of a plugin or sample into the song. but a crashing isn't a sober programing.

1.) you have to set the "Seg. BPM" to the tempo of the song if you want to avoid warp-"resizing" of the audio files e.g. when you work with one-shot-sounds instead of loops

but i have the experience that toggling between warp and unwarpped clip will change the appearence (length) of the data because in the warp-mode the audio-file is interpreted regarding "Seg. BPM". i often have the case that "Seg. BPM" shows a wrong tempo in cases ...

when using flip-preset-browser for vst-plugins a list of the presets appears. but when selecting one preset the list disappears. is there a possibility to let the preset-list displayed while selecting several presets?
or is there another live-browser (perhaps for the left column) for selecting ...
