i would like to see it implemented through being able to alter the actual grid of the piano roll. somehow being visually represented by different grids. more fractions in the usual one, etc..

i think having the ability to toggle between different tuning modes and microtonal divisions directly from a tab on the pianoroll would be great.

any thoughts?

this is total sux. i HATE the rainbow instrument silhouette live logo - and was fairly content with the workaround of my replacement splash screen. i thought live 5 was the best design... shame to see that go and leave us stuck with this since version 6.

as per the subject title - how is this done/is it possible?

i know i've done this before in an earlier version of live by selecting some option from 'audio from' on a track..or something..

i am on a mac now but it was a pc when i remember doing this..i'm sure that when i did this i was getting ...

ah well that's great that it can be changed. still doesn't excuse the fact that it's three generations of lame!

they seem to save ok, but often will take a LONG time to 'pick up' the signal. i.e. i will assign it in midi pick up mode, return to normal mode and then when i try to use the control - a fader, say - there is a notice in a green bar at the bottom that says "track volume awaiting pick up" - this is ...

it was introduced with live 6 if i remember correctly. what a mess. after the best of the live logos (imo) with live 5 - who ever decided to keep this as the going theme should be fired from the art department.

ableton has some of the best design around with all their other gear/symbols etc.
