well to start when you reroute midi back into ableton to have the cc's control anything you need to use an external midi controller to make those initial assignments. I believe that when a cc sends a value between 64-127 its like 'on' and 0-63 is 'off' i thought i read about this in the manual once ...

i had a problem that may be related. if the cc value is set to just send a single value it wasn't working for me, but when i changed it to send a minimum of two values it would work. i hope that gets fixed soon. i am curious to try this in an earlier version and see if it does the same thing.
