Re: Another PC vs Mac ..With a twist...

I had come to this conclusion the other night while looking at my wife's IBM laptop... I noticed that for the past several years that IBM has always used the shade of black on their laptops while Apple uses white(silver)... As we all know there has always been the PC vs Mac debate well I think now ...

I feel the same way, I know there is shareware for programing the MIDIbox but I don't know more than that.

I'm looking into building a MIDIbox but I'm still in the research phase. I like the layout of Sasha's Maven and Hawtin's CTRL but I haven't played enough gigs with Live to decide what I want yet. I just want to know if anyone (not Super DJ status) was taking on such tasks or waiting for someone to ...

BCR-2000 programming help

I just got my BCR and I'm using the top 8 buttons for triggering tracks and the bottom 8 for stopping tracks. However as you know the buttons have 2 states, on and off. Triggering tracks only works for the on position. Is there a way to reprogram the buttons so it will trigger a track every time you ...

The claim to have it optomized for music use as opposed to normal laptops.

Just my 2 cents though.

I love it. IMO this is how progressive mixes should be. I listened to it during my morning run and I after about 30 min I was so pumped that I was practically killing myself I was running so fast. Very good, keep it up.

Maybe it's time the Dance community accepted the fact that most recreational drugs are banned for a reason and, I dunno, maybe grew up a little and starting policing itself?

From what I have read, they were policing themselves. Of those arrested were ...

I use an M-Audio Firewire box and Wavelab. I use my record output from my mixer to the input on the Firewire box. Once in Wavelab you can filter out any noise. I make sure to clean my needles and records real good beforehand and I don't get much in the way of noise.

DJs How do you get rid of your mouse?

Currently I am looking at developing my Ableton setup and I want to get rid if the need to use a mouse to start and stop tracks. Was wondering how some of you DJs out there accomplish this. I'm also looking at getting a BCF2000 and would like some input on how some of you guys set it up (knobs and ...

I have experienced this problem as well, what I did discover is that if I unplug my laptop from the wall the noise goes away. there are hum eliminators that should also fix the problem but this is a good quick fix to give a try first.

DJ vs Ableton

I have given a lot of thought about how Ableton effects the Djing community. For those of you who know your history, Djing started out on an AM radio and a gramophone. The Disc Jockey was born. As technology evolved so did the DJ, not only was he introducing new music to a larger audience he was ...
