When a controller is assigned to loop length of clips
When assigning a control (e.g. from a BCR2000) to the length value of a clip, if not notes/info are present in that clip, then the length function will not work very nicely. If you move it slighly, it makes the clip'#s length very small. Would it be possible to remove this, such that clip's length ...

Hi Peeps
I just laid out a track, by opening a blank session, and creating some empty blocks for certian tracks i.e. without using any actual sounds, but just hypothesising over how it will all be structured.

Behringer BCF & BCRs to cotnrol Plug Ins
Dear All
Although the Behringer BCF2000 can be set to Mackie Control Emulation mode, it seemingly doesn't control plugins/effects, onyl volume, pan, sends & in/outs. Does anyone know if there's a hidden way of getting it to control plugs (hopefullty the currently selected one)?
Also, does the ...

Next/Previous Scene function
Hi Peeps
I'm on V.5.02, but can't seem to find the Next/Previous Scene buttons. I'm sure they were there in v4, and they're in the manual too, apparently just under the master Stop All Clips button on the far right. Anyone seen it?!?
Regards
Eddie Howell

Sysex/System Exclusive message in Live?
Hi There
Can live handle sysex messages. I currently dumping patches from my Virus TI. Nuendo sees & records the signal, but Live doesn't i.e the virus's is sending the info.
I can't see any preferences for sysex anywhere, or is there?
Cheers
Eddie

Clips recording knob movements
Not sure if you can already do this, but I've gatehred that you currently can't.
You make a clip, set it going, and it records all MIDI notes & other CCs from your controller.
If you assign a CC to a parameter e.g. a VSTi cutoff, moving that control will no longer record movements into the playing ...

Audio & MIDI on the same channel strip
I like to arrange all sequence tracks together, and all audio tracks together (for better ease when sequencing) i.e. I group all the tracks that have clips on them, and put all audio tracks at the bottom (which bring signals back in from external gear/VSTIs etc).

More Freeze track options
Freezing tracks is a useful feature, but often I only want to use it for freeing up resources that virtual instruments takes up.
What would be ideal, is if options were given to what gets frozen, including VSTi, plug ins, channel strip etc. I typically only want to freeze the instrument, but then ...
