Any one of the current (or previous line) of Macs will run Ableton fine...

on a 13" macbook its suprisingly nippy and dont worry to much about the screen size Abletons GUI lends itself quite nicely to smaller screens.

A Macbook Pro really is overkill if Ableton is what you will primarily using ...

I had a MAC for 14 days free trial...nice, but smelled of pork, I dont like Pork, it gives me a rash.

MY "Gripe" is they havent fixed the problems on the old units because according to mackie PR's its so time consuming, yet they spend their time reeling out the same old hardware with the same old problems in a new skin ...

So it was great interest I saw the new advert for the Mackie Control "Pro" series over at http://www.mackie.com/products/mcupro/splash.html .

Finally, they must have addressed all those issues with the C4 not working with...well...everything you really want them to work with... and definately with ...

Just ordered my boxed live 6 upgrade from DV in the UK and was wondering, how the whole upgrade thing works.

I've got Ableton Live5 (boxed retail) and I buy this upgrade pack, so do I need my Live 5 on the system to install Live6 upgrade or just my original Live5 serial and registration stuff ...

Just wondered as MIDI controllers are so "last season"
