I am not able to edit any m4l patches on Win 7 Live 9.04 32 Max 6.1.2 32.
The patches themselves work fine though...
Both versions (32 and 64bit) of Ableton and Max are installed.
With the 64 versions everything is fine…
Could somebody guide me into the right direction?

maybe you could use a midi monitor to see whats going on. if you have max for live you could use the max midi tester.

i must admit that i havn't used the freeze option so much by now and probably it is more stable to render the files and then bounce it.
But still i am interested in the process behind the overall epxorting options and settings.
in the live manual there isn't much written about it.

Today i recognized a different behaviour with the render settings.
First it seems to make a difference whether plugin latency compensation in the options is enabled or not.
i was aware that it has effects on the playback but i wasnt aware of that it also affects the rendering.

I really like that ableton has open structure for vst plugins and things like max for live.
Unfortunately i guess that leads to stability problems.
It happens to me quite a lot that when i want to open a liveset it is suddenly corrupt.
What i do then is to transfer the liveset to another computer ...

so the problem is solved.
for some reason the buffer on my audio card was pretty high which resulted in a big latency.
i set the buffer down again and everything is fine now.

just de- and reinstalled the latest version of ableton live.
didn't help. don't know what the origin of this problem may be.
help needed!

i've come across a strange beahviour in live today.
i opened a live set and every level meter was very very jumpy and jittery.
so i created a new live set with only one operator playing a steady sine note and the same beahviour occured.
have other users experienced similiar issues and may ...

i was aware of this possibilty. but i don't like it so much, cause you always have to select the device and then only the first eight controllers are possible to control. i use the mpk 25 and like to select what i want to control on the controller itself.i would like a solution ...

Today i tried to set up my akai mpk25 controller with some arturia plugs like the prophet 5.
in standalone mode it worked fine. it saved the midi settings and every time i reopened the plug remapping wasn't necessary.

Is there a way to save midi mappings with device racks or vst plugins? it would be nice to store certain midi control setting with devices.
is it somehow possible in combination with max for live?
