Live's envelope editing functionality is being eclipsed by other companies and their bright ideas these days. I'm sure they know this and are working on making their stuff better than the competition. Alchemy is an amazing synth with so much capability, that they just up the ante ...

In Logic I click on a note and hit the key "m" to mute that note and "m" again to un-mute it. Soooooo easy!

Command+M in Pro Tools as well, I believe.

Bezier curves to be exact!!!!! This would be heaven. It's such a time eater to draw in automation curves with nothing but a bunch of little dots. One by One. And drawing them in is never very accurate or smooth sounding. Bezier curve automation would be great to have.

Some nice device laden context menu options would be very nice.

In fact, more robust context menu's in general would be very welcome indeed.

I think that they will address this with OSX Lion, which has auto-save as a built in feature. As far as PC's are concerned, I dunno.

I was thinking that through as well. But I think it would be nice to have these kinds of features as a fundamental element in the user interface next to the envelope editing pane. I can even see expanding this idea to include velocity editing of all different kinds; To have a comprehensive pane ...

Seriously, nobody would like to see this one? It seems so vital to me.

Let me dive further into this. Let's say I'm working with many percussion sounds and I want them to sound together but a little loose, like they are all being played by different people.

What Live 8 needs in the piano roll editor is the ability to swing individual notes, or groups of notes, in the piano roll independently.

The addition of mp3 support is great, but you really need to apply that to AAC files as well, which, in my opinion, are of a higher quality then mp3 files. If someone feels that this is incorrect, please feel free to explain the virtures and superiority of mp3 to AAC, but at this point, I feel that ...
