He also has some nice free scripts and his APC Series scripts have been amazing. If I bought a controller that he had a script for I'd buy the script without hesitation he's that good.

Re: oh dear I've just realized I need an APC40 with a keyboard
I've used both and personally NativeKontrol is better, it covers a lot more than the Remotescripts one.
Eg 'note modes' have velocity, octave shift, pitch bend and mod wheels in nativekontrol but it only uses 16 buttons for notes (16 keyboard style). Remotescripts have note modes with up to 48 note ...

Re: Solid state drives?
are you using SSD with windows or osx? just wondering how performance handles on osx after lots of use (creating and deleting files) without the TRIM support? got any examples of something impressive it can do?

Re: APC40 midi mapping - relative instead of absolut? How?
I use NativeKontrol scripts which provide banks of regular midi mappable knobs & buttons without loosing default functions. Other option's are Hanz_Petrov's remotescripts or use racks with macros assigned to several parameters each and stick to instant mapping on the rack

Re: Where can I buy/download this APC40 hack?
hey there,
i think using the iac driver to send midi out of live, and then back in would work. you could send a midi note from a clip, and have that note mapped to a locator. you just need to have send the note out and then back in.

I'm always interested in APC40 mods, just wondering what this will be able to do that the nativekontrol scripts don't?

Re: nativekontrol apc40 mod
I got the CL2+TC2 package and now use the CL3+TC3 beta which u can read about on the nativekontrol forum. It adds a hell of a lot to the apc40 and Stray is good with support and listening to his customers, I've had a number of feature requests I asked for added. I haven't got VC1 so won't comment on ...

Re: New iMac dual HD as complete music comp?
I've been looking at the new MBP and doing some research on different options which might be relevant to you. OSX doesn't currently support TRIM commands for SSD which means disks that rely on it to maintain write performance require a 'recondition' command via something like DiskTester http ...

Re: Save track + instruments + settings
yeah drag the whole track(s) into the browser and it will save the track with midi/audio clips & racks, instruments and effects as a live set which u can drag into other sets.
I suggest coming up with a system that works well for u for storing presets. I have a White Rabbit folder and subfolders ...
