Simpler "R" button?

What does the "R" button in the lower right corner of Simpler do? I can't find mention of it in the manual, nor on this forum. In fact, the screenshot of Simpler in the manual doesn't have the button at all. The manual also says something about an LED for indicating voice stealing that I don't see ...

So far, my dirtbag solution has been to un-plug my laptop and run on batteries, but I'm going to have to come up with a real fix sooner or later.

Have you tried using a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter for your laptop's AC adapter? That will remove the ground connection to your laptop. It got rid of a ...

Re: much respect to Ableton

Note randomization based on chords, mirroring, etc. are some of the few things I miss from FL.
Duncan

Note randomization based on chords... try the "random" midi effect and put a "chord" midi effect after it. Maybe I'm completely wrong. I don't know for sure what you mean.

More on random things ...

Re: vibrato effect

pitch modulation is GROSSLY neglected by the audio effect community... software as well as hardware. Some people theorize that this is because of certain guitar amps in the 60s mislabeling the tremolo circuit as vibrato, which led to a lot of people assuming that tremolo and vibrato were the same ...

much respect to Ableton

I've used several hosts/sequencers over the past few years, and I've always been unhappy with certain aspects of these programs. I've primarily been an FL Studio user. FL is a great program, but certain shortcomings inspired me to look elsewhere, and I'm glad I did. I can't tell you what a breath of ...

Re: vibrato effect

I would find a vibrato (pitch modulation) effect with some of the features similar to the Auto Pan and flanger very useful.

I have asked many developers for something like this, because pitch modulation is GROSSLY neglected by the audio effect community... software as well as hardware. Some ...

The Trigger Finger definitely has more features... knobs/sliders, stand-mount, etc. The pads seem to be decent as well, which is surprising to me considering that M-Audio's MIDI keyboard controllers have the absolute worst feel of any keyboard I've ever played. I'd also be more inclined to trust ...

I've had both the 60GB 7200rpm Travelstar and the 100GB Seagate Momentus 5400rpm drives in my laptop, and the biggest difference I noticed was that the Seagate drive was much quieter. The biggest diff with performance I saw was I had to wait a bit longer to load projects, but other than that I never ...

Question Alex,

If I buy LIVE5 now, but in the next day or two decide on Operator, can I still get it for the $99US price?

Yes I was wondering this too, not because I haven't decided on buying Operator yet, but because I received my Live 5 upgrade free and was not given a chance to purchase the ...
