Most unpractical if not impossible way to write chord names, lyrics etc. to its place under a spesicif note etc.
Ableton, whats wrong with you when neglecting this kind of essential feature???

Re: Live 12 suite: chord names and other composer notes to the arrange view?
Sorry, I don't understand your comment.
If you have any information/idea how to reach what I describe above, please
add e.g. a link to the tutorial, manual site, Youtube etc. or try to be more spesific.
As said, this shouldn't be any "exotic" feature/desire for a composer - on the contrary, a most ...

Live 12 suite: chord names and other composer notes to the arrange view?
The question concerns working with the Ableton Live 12 suite software. Ableton is notoriously end-user-hostile when it comes to composer features, e.g. piano roll, track, including the complete lack of notation features.

(!) Note for Live developers. H.Tarekith wrote: Most other DAWs have a trim automation mode as well, so even if you have volume automation you can do the same thing. Unfortunately Live does not have this function.

Re: Basic question about mixing
Yes, good points. I have to say that as far as I understand this issue - "greed for volume" -
is the one of the most common pitfall in the producing/mixing. When you are recording single
tracks and getting the right sounds, it always feels that you have to maximise the level
to get all the ...

Re: Basic question about mixing
Thank you all for your informative comments.
I asked this question because I´ve red somewhere that
in this case (i.e. if your mixing is complete, the balance is good but master
level exeeds 0 db), one should decrease the level of every individual
track. This is what I usally intend to do.

Basic question about mixing
Hi,
A very basic question concerning the headroom setting in
the mixing process. When your summed tracks (master)
volume exeeds the headroom level 0 (i.e. is "on red")
but none of the is single tracks exeeds this level,
can I just use the master fader to lower the volume
when rendering the master ...

Thank you for the contribution. I have to say didn´t get this

I´ve tried to do some of my own by following Tom Cosm's tutorial,
but for some reason, in spite of following his steps, the use of Operator

Re: Shepard's Tone with Samples
Hi,
I tried to locate any ready-made good sounding sample (either free of charge or commercial)
but haven´t found any. Does someone know where to download some Shepard tone -based samples?

Soloing tracks and automation
Hi,
Is there a fundamental bug in the Live?
If I´ve done adjustements by the automation to my tracks
and want to listen some separate tracks by soloing
these, how do I get the automated adjustement (e.g.
volume settings of speaker off/on) be on power?
Namely, in the solo-mode, all the automations ...

Live Crash Reporting: bad implementation
I´ve stated this same thing earlier and do it again: if you want to improve the Live and get
feedback about crashes from your customer, such as me, you shoud first fix your crash reporting system.
And what´s wrong with the present one:
1) After the crash when open next time time Live, there´s a ...

Re: How to set the starting point of clips in the Arrangement?
Set the start marker in the clip, just the same as using Session view. If I understand correctly what it is you're asking.
The start marker line won´t show the absolute location of the clip. E.g. if you
open 3 tracks in the Arrange and put a clip to each of them, different places in the

How to set the starting point of clips in the Arrangement?
When I´m composing a piece in the Arrangement mode, I have to often
import clips of different lenghts to different tracks.
I wonder if Ableton has created (or creating) a spesific tool which helps
the user to set the starting points of different clips exately where he wants.

Re: Live 8: no support for the Win 7???
As ShelLuser pointed out, the third-party plug-ins in use here often contribute to the issue: remember that these plug-ins need to be separately updated by their developers before they can work well in any hosting application in Windows 7.
That being said, the best course of action here is to ...

Re: Live 8: no support for the Win 7???
Live 8 works fine in Win7 64bit for most people so you shouldn't have a problem as long as your audio interface has drivers for your OS. Basically, if it works in Vista it works in Win7. Like I always say, install ALL your VSTs in a folder outside of C:\Program Files(x86)\ like C:\VstPlugins\ for ...
