Plenty of pro's use live.

However, no serious musician would use only one program to mix/produce their music, this is just idiotic.

Obviously live can record + mix in its own way, I find it works excellently with my workflow.

I don't get what you actually want Live to do? Cook for you?

Why rush updates? Should they be bringing out a whole new version every 6 months like Pro Tools?

Get some wicked beats, jam out some riffs, get some cool sounds and samples, and jam out your own metal/rock song, I love it

Similar issue when trialing max for live. I have the full version of suite (latest) and after installing the max for live trial, it recognises it in ableton, but then I see no new effects and no new button to edit etc.

Don't apologise, Ableton is allowing me to create the music I've always wanted, I'll look into it and get back to you or support.

Hi there, I've been using Live for a while on my pc, with no real problems.

Now I'm upgrading to a mac, (os x version 10.4.11) and i'm trying to install the new version.

I did the complete package, and was going to copy just the sets (complete sets WITH instruments) over to use on the mac.

When downloading the new versions, from Australia, it takes me a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time, wondering if we can sort out some other servers to update from?

Note: My ableton is installed on another computer so I have to get it through the website, I do not want to connect this other computer ...

I'm playing on doing a set in which I create all the music live on the go, and use lives sampling for fun quotes and sounds, I'm going to have my guitar hooked to the side of my desk to give me some more fun.
