LIVE's reverb and compressor arent worth much in my ears. I do personally love the filter though, it has its own character. Reverbs are big ticket items though... you do get what you pay for though its all to flavour. I dont like Waves verbs either.

Just use a third party free flash player, rather then the myspace crap.

Mostly this is your hardware resolution.... i know some friends who got the shits with their BCD's in Live for things like EQ etc, but you just edit it on the controller. We're all so used to Live doing everything we forget our gear has settings too

use the sends on the mixer and route the laptop output to a third channel (or to the returns)

latency is not a big problem if you manage to keep the buffer small (try with 128 samples)

I have to agree on the accumulation of gear... it just happens. Dont sell anything. So much becomes useful again and if its just packed safely away its out of mind and you have more gear to play with in the future. Wish i hadnt of sold my Juno6.

Midi clips for reason... ive found it rather sluggish to change patches on the ReDrum to such a degree that its unusable. Will look more into delay compensation...

i never had any problems with an Asus A2H, though a friend had nothing but problems with his M6 and an M-Audio unit. I think a LARGE part of the problem lies with M-Audio... they have gone to shit since the lovely PCI card days and their drivers and hardware are poorly supported budget gear now ...

Im over M-Aduio. Their old soundcards were awesome... the Delta44 was the best thing on the planet once upon a time. Now all their cheap firewire interfaces are problematic and i dont know a single person who has not had trouble with them.
