Is there anyway to change Live's keyboard shortcuts? One I definitely need to disable is the space bar as the play button. Too many things can go wrong with that one during a set.

Re: DJ'ng in Live
Set your first warp marker on the transient of your first beat. You can either then just input the correct BPM (if it's analyzed as 128.97 hit in 129) or you can just set that first warp marker, then scroll to the last beat of your track and shift it in time, thereby moving everything across.

Re: [ot] 40 facts about sleep you probably didn't know..
Scientists have not been able to explain a 1998 study showing a bright light shone on the backs of human knees can reset the brain's sleep-wake clock.

Re: Whine from monitors when Live is open?
Hehe, will give an update. Heading off to Israel this weekend for a fortnight, so will try sort it out when I get back.
Always good having a girlfriend who sorts out writer's block and is great at knob tweaking. (And not just on the controller

Still there when all plugged into the same socket, actually even more apparent. :/
Gonna go for the ground isolator route before I end up in hospital.

Re: Whine from monitors when Live is open?
Hmmm.
I have two power points in my wall with two extensions connected to it.
Extension 1 has my router, network hub and monitor (screen) attached.
Extension 2 has my monitors (speakers).
Now I seem to have narrowed the problem down to the monitor screen. When unplugged, the problem goes away ...

Whine from monitors when Live is open?
I have a USB souncard (Novation Nio) connected to Samson active monitors with RCA cables. As soon as I open Live, I hear a whine through my monitors.
When the DAW is closed, this whine is completely gone. What could the problem be? I was thinking a ground loop problem, but that the fact that the ...

Re: How to collectively loop a collection of clips?
Hey WFWS, thanks for your answer.
I know about scene functionality, but lets say I have 8 scenes each comprised of 4 bar clips.
I'd like to, for example, trigger the bass from scene 1, maybe let that play for a bit and then trigger the guitar from scene 4, let those two play for a few bars and ...

How to collectively loop a collection of clips?
Hey,
I have a 4 track song written in Cubase that I'd like to perform in Live.
I've exported each track and imported them into 4 audio tracks in Live, then split them up into 4 bar clips with the CTRL-E function. Finally, I copied and pasted the arrangement view into the Session view (Is there ...

Novation Nio 2/4 crackling above 2ms buffer length?
So I'm using a brand new Nio 2/4 with Live 7 on a dual core 2.1ghz laptop with 3gb ram and Windows XP.
I was previously using Asio4All drivers with no hassle at all.
It seems that if I set my buffer length to anything HIGHER than 2ms, I get awful, constant crackling but a 3% decrease in CPU load ...
